In respect to Psalm 34:19 many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all, this simply means being a child of God does not make challenges or afflictions to be far from you which means a child of God must pass through all these to
1: make men know you are of God cos he said he will deliver you from it
2: God will not deliver you from some of it but all of it and
3: to show that you are indeed a child of God cos it said the "righteous" and not a sinner.
So anytime a child of God is passing through challenge or afflictions it is to his own glory and to lift up men cos 1corinthians 10:13 says no temptation has befallen you which is not common to man but God is faithful who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear but with the temptation will make a way of escape.
Conclusion don't be dismayed when you pass through afflictions even Jesus did but know it that it will work out for your own good
