Learn how to make a Tasty Jollof Basmati Rice.
This is an incredibly easy, but delicious recipe. The uniqueness of this jollof rice lies in the roasting of the bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, and garlic.
It’s very simple and inexpensive and the rich texture and taste of this rice is simply amazing.
**INGREDIENTS 👇
🔹️Basmati Rice
🔹️Fresh tomatoes
🔹️Tomato paste
🔹️Red pepper
🔹️Tattashe
🔹️Onions
🔹️Oil
🔹️Ginger
🔹️Garlic
🔹️Thyme
🔹️Curry
🔹️Onga
🔹️Maggi
🔹️Carrots
🔹️Green bell peppers
🔹️Peas
🔹️Water
🔹️Foil paper
🔹️Coal
🔹️Butter
🔹️leaf Bay
🔹️Chicken stock or meat stock.
Now Here Are The Cooking Instructions.
Step 1
Blend your pepper, tattashe, onions and fresh tomatoes.
Step 2
Ground your garlic and ginger
Step 3
Set your pot on fire and put your oil, once it’s hot add in your diced onions and allow it fry until golden brown
Step 4
Add in your ginger and garlic and fry them all together for an amazing flavour
Step 5
Add in your tomato paste and allow it fry
Step 6
Add in your blended tomatos, onions, pepper to make a stew
Step 7
Add in your bay leaf, curry, maggi, onga,thyme..(any seasoning of your choice)
Step 8
Once the stew is ready..Pour in your washed basmati rice and stir together
Step 9
Add your in your meat stock or chicken stock.. if you don’t have that just use water.. don’t add in too much water or stock because you don’t want to to cook the rice but rather steam it
Step 10
Cover your pot with a foil paper and the cover and let it steam for 20 mins
Step 11
Once it’s time open your pot..add in your butter, fried veggies, onions and mix together..cover your pot for just 2 mins so the flavors could circulate
Step 12
Make a whole inside the pot and pot in a foil paper, put your coal and Add little oil to the coal then cover the pot for 5 mins immediately to get that Smokey/burnt flavor

After that,, your basmati jollof rice is ready.. Serve with any protein of your choice and enjoy ☺️ 😋.
